The Helping Hands Pantry is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 2003.

We feed approximately 350-400 families from the Loves Park/Machesney Park area each month. Helping Hands Pantry has NO paid staff and relies solely on volunteers. That means 100% of donations go to the purchase of groceries to feed hungry families. We follow a ‘client choice’ method for our patrons, which means they go through our pantry with a shopping cart choosing only items that can be used by their family. This prevents waste and puts more items in the hands of those who can use them.

Help us help the community. There are families who simply cannot provide meals on a daily basis. Our goal is to meet the needs of as many hungry people as possible.

We will serve food insecure people in our area so that every need is met with care and concern for their physical need as well as emotional and spiritual needs. We will unite our community by serving it together.
